Two Sparkling Bathrooms Enhance a New City Renovation

This home enjoyed not one but two full bath remodels as part of a larger renovation project. Both offer a gently mystical quality, relying on shades of blues and grays that mimic the Hudson River found not far from this home. 

The Master Bath

Upon entering the master bath through a space saving pocket door, on the right there is a large mirror and generous double vanity with wide sinks and chrome faucets, giving two people plenty of room to go through their morning and evening hygiene routines. On the opposite wall, sits a large white soaking tub, multiple feet tall and plenty deep for dunking. Above it is a tasteful, frosted window that allows both natural light and helpful privacy.

Beside the bathtub is the luxurious shower, which features dual shower heads. One is an overhead rain shower head and the other is handheld so that the user can easily manipulate it and move it around. The shower also has two niches inset in the walls for placing soaps, shampoos, and other shower products. The flooring is a hexagonal tiled pattern in varying shades, from a cream to a deep blue, and there is also a bench for sitting on. The glass door for the shower bisects the bench so that the other side of it, facing the bathtub, can be used as a ledge for all of the tub’s accessories. The strong glass doors encase the shower and have an opening up top to let steam out, and the shower walls are large rectangular sheets evoking a marble pattern.

The rest of the master bathroom’s walls are a soft gray with blue undertones, and white trims act as accents throughout, including on the door frame that leads to the backmost part of this bathroom. Toward the back is another small room for the toilet to provide extra space for added privacy.

The Second Bathroom

The second bathroom reflects some of the stylings of the master bathroom: it is another full bath with a shower and blue, gray, and white motifs. The single-person counter has a marble top, and the flooring has wide slabs of panels that mimic the look of real wood. There are also multiple lights, including a nifty one that runs the perimeter of the big mirror that sits just above the white counter fixture complete with five drawers.
